Jonathan Cortez
As Director of the CyVig Security Operations Center (SOC), Jonathan oversees the cybersecurity analysts and technologies that enable clients’ IT teams to mitigate cyberattacks and meet compliance with internal security objectives and external third-party requirements. Jonathan provides leadership over daily operations in which CyVig analysts investigate threats with speed and precision, and to define an attack’s root cause, scope, and trajectory for targeted response. Prior to CyVig, Jonathan served as Director of IT for a public transit authority and Information Assurance Manager for a company that secured satellite communications for Air Force One, among other roles managing IT projects, help desk personnel and systems administration. Jonathan is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he also served in IT, and remains dedicated to protecting U.S. communities through stronger cybersecurity initiatives.
